Full Job Description
Starting new millwork, premium Sandha Woodworks Service Ltd. company, producing a wide mix of commercial, retail, public and residential projects throughout North America, is looking for a Millwork Engineer with experience in architectural millwork and cabinetry. We are looking for a team player that can work closely with Project Management/Production to create quality drawings that are engineered for production, focusing on completeness and build ability, and promotes our reputation as a maker of high-quality millwork projects.
Working as part of a team of fully trained and experienced millwork production staff your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Ability to read Architectural drawings, renderings, sketches, and create shop drawing submittal packages including details, color, and hardware specifications

Collaborate with Project Managers to prepare drawings and 3D renders for clients.

Utilize 3D Engineering software that links to the Production Factory, what you draw is what gets built. Details must be considered and implemented into a production-ready model.

Use supplementary software such as AutoCAD and Excel proficiently.
To fully qualify for and be successful in this newly created position you must have:

Degree in Woodworking Technology, Drafting or a related field is preferred

3-5 years’ experience as an Architectural Millwork Engineer

Demonstrated experience using mainstream CAD/CAM design software tools such as Microvellum, AutoCAD, Inventor, TopSOLID, SolidWorks, in a millwork environment.

Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills

Minimum 2-3 years’ working as a millworker/cabinetmaker, with CNC programming experience

Ability to review and interpret Architectural drawings, contract documents & specifications

Well organized and detail oriented
-
Effective communication skills with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing

The ability to work independently and with teams

Extensive technical and problem-solving experience

Knowledge of AWMAC Standard is an asset
This is a key technical position requiring a full breadth of knowledge of millwork design, production, installation, and logistical requirements.
